Dr. Anthony Macioce, Duluth Chiropractor

I had my first adjustment when I was 9 years old.

My parents were tired of the sleepless nights that I was up wheezing and couldn’t breathe. I had no idea, at that time, that getting my back pushed on would help me breathe better and be healthier then the chemicals my medical doctor prescribed. But let me tell you, it made a huge difference. I went from a nerdy kid who always had to carry my inhaler and couldn’t run and play like the rest of the kids to someone who was able to be active in sports. That experience started me on my path towards chiropractic.

Now I see miracles like that everyday.

I live in Duluth with my wife, two dogs and a cat. My wife is a former office manager of a chiropractic clinic in Edina and has also experienced many great things through chiropractic care.

People always ask me if I get adjusted…absolutely, I try to adhere to a wellness lifestyle which involves six things; proper nutrition, plenty of sleep, lots of water, exercise, positive mental attitude, and monthly chiropractic adjustments.

I graduated from Proctor High School. I received a bachelors degree at University of Minnesota Duluth. I got my doctorate at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington Minnesota and have been a chiropractor for seven years.

I absolutely love being a chiropractor.

I couldn’t imagine myself doing anything else. Our office has a responsibility to educate our patients as much as possible so that they can tap into the enormous healing capacity that their own bodies have so they can reach their full potential.

Dr. Torgrimson Asks some important questions of interest to Duluth residents - Chiropractor Duluth Dr. Torgrimson Asks...

Where do most Duluth residents get their first subluxation?
Being born in a hospital is a common source of subluxation. Trauma from forceps delivery has been replaced with drugs, vacuum extraction, Cesarean section and births that are "scheduled" to fit the workweek routines of Ob-Gyns. That's why we recommend a chiropractic checkup for every Duluth newborn.
What's the difference between maintenance, prevention and wellness?
Maintenance chiropractic care is an attempt to keep a dynamic, ever-changing and adapting organism (you) in a static relationship with your environment. Preventive chiropractic care is mostly about early detection. Wellness chiropractic care is an attempt to optimize our health and be all that you were designed to be.
